Queen's Night and Queen's Day are celebrated in honor of the late Queen Mother, Queen Juliana, mother of Beatrice. The particular year that I attended, the Queen Mother had died just 30 days short of her 90-some-th birthday, and the entire country had mourned. It was to be the most memorable of Queen's Day celebrations..
